Debt Capital Markets Associate

Leaders in the Arena is seeking an outgoing, highly detail oriented and experienced Capital Markets professional to support the M&A deal team in arranging financings. This individual will serve as the primary liaison to third party lenders and investors, and will manage all aspects of financing the transactions including structuring of the transaction, developing marketing information, managing all due diligence requests, and arranging meetings and communications with all internal and external persons engaged in the financing of the transactions. This individual must be closely coordinated with the internal team preparing financial models and analysis on all deals and have a strong understanding of the desired financial structure. Candidate needs to be current on potential lending and investing parties and strategies globally and keen to explore new financing alternatives and trends.

Expectations For the Role:

  • Hit the ground running to identify and cultivate relationships with current and prospective US and international investors for the purpose of funding investments across various investments strategies.
  • Build and expand Debt Capital Markets base with focus on deepening partnerships to ensure long term, strategic alignment.
  • Be well-known, visible, and highly respected in the investor community, with a history of achievement throughout his/her business and academic career.
  • Collaborate with other deal managers, investor relationship team, and senior leadership throughout the capital formation process to ensure full coordination and implementation of best practices and lessons learned from prior initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the fund management business, preferably within an alternative asset management company or, ideally, a highly respected PE investment firm.
  • Support business development objectives and ensure successful execution of strategies for deals across the organization.
  • Global perspective and the communications skills necessary to articulate the platform with credibility to potential investors and important stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related fields of study with minimum 5+years of progressively responsible experience in the financial services industry. Master’s degree in Finance preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with prior relevant finance and sales experience; investor relations/business development, capital raising experience.
  • Proficient in managing, analyzing, and preparing financial data presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and present financing terms.
  • Ability to work with highly skilled and technical teams, problem-solving and consensus-building techniques for researching discrepancies and determining solutions.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
  • Must possess poise, skills and competencies to suggest that one would be able to raise capital and interface with investors, both domestically and internationally.

Compensation:

  • Salary $135,000 to $150,000 plus bonus
  • Full benefits package available
